<title>OPC Timothy Conference</title>

<description>The second OPC Timothy Conference will be held April 15-18, 2009 at Dyer, Indiana.  Believing that the cultivation of the next generation of OPC ministers is vitally important to the health of our church, the Committee on Christian Education has asked local church sessions to help identify young men of piety and ability whom they believe would benefit from having the high calling of the gospel ministry presented to them in a special conference setting.

<title>MTIOPC - Spring Semester</title>

<description>Registration is now open for the Spring 2009 semester of the Ministerial Training Institute of the OPC (MTIOPC).  The two courses being offered this semester are Homiletics and Book of Discipline.  The Homiletics course is taught by Rev. William Shishko and Rev. Peter Vosteen and will conclude with an intensive training session in Lynwood Washington from April 30 to May 4.  The Book of Discipline course is taught by Rev. Stuart Jones and will conclude with an intensive training session from April 29 to May 1.

This November in congregations throughout the Orthodox Presbyterian Church, people in the pews will be giving to the Thank Offering, a once-a-year special offering that helps to fund outreach at home and abroad, education for all ages, and ministerial training.

It was on October 31, 1517 that Martin Luther posted his 95 theses on the door of the castle church in Wittenberg, Germany, which is now called Lutherstadt Wittenberg.
